Abstract:
Upon the conducted surveys on the whiteflies' fauna (Hemiptera: Sternorrhyncha: Aleyrodidae) in Mazandaran province, ۱۷ species, Acaudaleyrodes rachipora Singh, ۱۹۳۱, Aleurocanthus woglumi Ashby, ۱۹۱۵, Aleurolobus marlatti Quaintance, ۱۹۰۳, Aleurolobus moundi David & Subramaniam, ۱۹۷۶, Aleurolobus selangorensis Corbett, ۱۹۳۳, Aleyrodes singularis Danzig, ۱۹۶۶, Bemisia afer Priesner & Hosny, ۱۹۳۴, Bemisia giffardi Kotinsky, ۱۹۰۷, Bemisia tabaci Gennadius, ۱۸۸۹, Bulgarialeurodes cotesii Maskell, ۱۸۹۶, Dialeurodes citri Ashmead, ۱۸۸۵, Dialeurodes kirkaldyi Kotinsky, ۱۹۰۷, Parabemisia myricae Kuwana, ۱۹۲۷, Siphoninus phillyreae Haliday, ۱۸۳۵, Trialeurodes packardi Morrill, ۱۹۰۳, Trialeurodes vaporariorum Westwood, ۱۸۵۶ and Trialeurodes variabilis Quaintance, ۱۹۰۰ were collected and identified. All the determined aleyrodids belong to ۱۰ genera and one subfamily, Aleyrodinae. In this research, in addition to determining of aleyrodids' fauna in Mazandaran province and their host plants, identification key is given for the most important Iranian species. Totally ۱۶ plant families were identified for the whiteflies of Mazandaran which of these, Rutaceae was detected as the host of more species of whiteflies. Aleyrodes singularis and Trialeurodes packardi are new records for the fauna of Mazandaran province.
