Abstract:

COVID-۱۹ is the name of the disease which has caused rapid disruption of daily life along with significant morbidity and mortality on a global scale. The clinical spectrum of COVID-۱۹ varies from asymptomatic forms to conditions encompassing multiorgan and systemic manifestations in terms of septic shock, and multiple organ dysfunction (MOD) syndromes. Actually, Symptoms can be respiratory (e.g., cough, dyspnea) or systemic (e.g., dizziness, weakness, nausea/ vomiting). Common symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, headache, myalgia, fatigue, and breathlessness. ۱۸% to ۴۳% of infected people remains Asymptomatic and have no symptoms at all.Materials and Methods: We conducted an observational survey, performed as a cross-sectional descriptive-analytical study. In this study, ۶۶ PCR positive hospitalized patients in infection diseases ward in Imam Hasan hospital (the health system care for COVID-۱۹ issues) were asked a series of branched logic questions about symptoms, and comorbidities by our researcher soon after they were admitted to the hospital. We calculate the frequency of symptoms of patients in order to find the most common symptoms and symptoms that initially presented or symptoms which brought the patients to hospital as chief complainFindings: of the ۶۶ patients enrolled, the average age was ۴۷/۴۱±۱۳/۵۲. ۳۸ were men (۵۲/۵۲%- with the least age of ۲۲ years and maximum age of ۷۵ years). ۲۸ were women (۴۲/۴۲%- with the least age of ۳۲ years and maximum age of ۷۸ years).The most common present symptoms in patients when coming to hospital were myalgia in ۵۴ (۸۱%), fever in ۵۳ (۸۰%), fatigue in ۵۰ (۷۵%) and Dyspnea in ۴۸ (۷۲%) patients. The most common initial symptoms were fever in ۱۶ (۲۴%), sore throat in ۸ (۱۲%), myalgia in ۸ (۱۲%) and fatigue in ۷ (۱۰%) patients. The most common chief complaints for coming to hospital to be admitted were fever in ۲۳ (۳۴%), Dyspnea in ۱۹ (۲۸%) and fatigue in ۷ (۱۰%) patients. In study of different risk factors, Hypertension was observed in ۲۲ (۳۳%), obesity in ۲۲ (۳۳%), and diabetes Mellitus in ۱۲(۱۸%) patients.Conclusion: Based On our study, Myalgia can be considered as one of the most common present symptoms of this of the novel corona virus infection. Fever is not necessarily the initial symptom in every patient infected and other symptom such as sore throat, myalgia and fatigue should be regarded. Among different comorbidities HTN, obesity and D.M can be counted as the most common risk factors.
