Abstract:

Today, rapid prototyping technology is extensively employed to manufacture parts. This technology has played an important role in accelerating the design and manufacturing of parts and reducing costs. This technique has considerably benefitted the aerospace, automotive, home appliances, and medical industries in the manufacturing and optimizing of products.Stereolithography is the most extensively used technology in the rapid prototyping field, which provides the needed sample in a short time. Rapid prototyping technology has progressed towards rapid tooling processes. This expansion stems from the need to reduce the time required to place an order and deliver a product, as well as the cost of doing so. Stereolithographic rapid tooling material, which is mainly utilized in insert injection molding, is designed for a small number of productions; therefore, it reduces the product's manufacturing time in any circumstance. To enhance their strength and thermal properties, designers change the production method. The forces created in injection molding include thermal and mechanical forces during injection, shrinkage during cooling, and part ejection from the mold.In this paper, the effect of injection parameters (working temperature parameter) and insert manufacturing parameters (layer thickness, post cure, production orientation) on tensile strength and impact strength has been investigated.
