Abstract:

One of the major problems associated with gravel packing highly deviated wells is the successful cleanout of the proppants, cutting and fines in well. Development of tools, software simulation and novel fluid systems are the main challenges for overcome this problem. The development of tools is generally expensive that often was limited. Software simulation is rarely compatible with real situation in drilling operation due to the process complexity. Development of novel fluid systems is the just way look forward to reducing this problem.This paper describes the laboratory development of a novel cleanout fluid system. This system has some benefits over conventional polymer systems i.e. nearly non-damaging to the reservoir, super suspension capacity and adjustable properties such as density for hydrostatic head and low friction
