Abstract:
Due to the increasing rate of production, new materials and machinery, the number of injuries and deaths in different industries has increased dramatically which affects human society in various ways. This study aimed to identify safety and health hazards and recommend the control measures in one of the metal industries of Iran in ۲۰۲۰ by using the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method. In this study, the data required for analysis were collected by direct observation of the worker at work and semi-structured interviews, then probability and severity matrices were used to determine the risk level. The obtained data showed that the highest risk score is related to the hazards of spraying and leakage of melt and the lowest risk is related to heat hazard in launder cleaning task. Finally, based on the risk assessment and risk priorities, the proper control measures were recommended.
