Abstract:

This paper presents a new method for using compromising subgroup in compensatory models within Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM). In the proposed method, alternatives are first precisely ranked in terms of each criterion. Ideal and negative-ideal alternatives are calculated from among the initial rankings, and then, based on Spearman rank correlation coefficient between alternatives initial rankings and Ideal and negative-ideal alternatives, the final ranking is done. Since initial rankings are used in this method, calculations are done using Natural numbers, and therefore are easy. A comparison between the proposed method and the three reliable methods of MOORA, TOPSIS and VIKOR showed its consistence with these methods, which shows its reliability.
