Evaluation and ranking of suppliers based on green criteria by AHP and VIKOR decision making methods

Nowadays, manufacturers and service companies seek to attract quality chains with superior services that make them play a key role in the production of their products and services; because they have understood that not only should the bid price of each supplier be the criterion for their selection, but also essential and basic criteria in the quality of their products are significant, and they should be considered in choosing the best supplier. The primary goal of this study is to provide an instruction for choosing the best supplier according to environmental protection criteria using mathematical methods of the Analytic Hierarchical Process (AHP) to calculate the weight of criteria and the VIKOR method for ranking options. Also, it uses the technique of questionnaire analysis and interviews with experts to increase the productivity, quality of goods, services, and reduction costs to improve environmental issues to select the best choice. Therefore, the type of research in terms of purpose is applied-descriptive and the method of implementation is descriptive-survey of library resource data and collecting opinions of experts. The results showed that green criteria such as environmental protection, green purchase and designing, ISO۱۴۰۰۰, elimination of greenhouse gases, hazardous materials management, environmental management system, production of pollution, green innovation, social and environmental responsiveness of company and clean production are the most important criteria in choosing the best supplier. Finally, it helps to improve the selection and decision-making to supply the basic needs of the company according to green principles.
