Abstract:

One of the critical issues of second-language learning is the advancement of meta-cognitive techniques. The goal of today's meta-analysis was to investigate the correlations between metacognitive strategies for the growth of L۲ speakers of EFL. The average total correlation values obtained from several primary studies from several databases were calculated in this connection. The study’s findings showed that the relationship between metacognitive policies and the growth of the L۲-Speaker in EFL was not significant. This study was conducted since ۲۰۰۲, heterogeneity and prejudice were identified (most participants were female). The influence of metacognitive interventions on men and women is recommended to be examined independently and compared. It ought to be a major gender gap.
