Abstract:
In this research, novel Cu-spinel/reduced graphene oxide nanocomposite was synthesized by sono-solvothermal method and used to remove various dyes. The properties of the synthesized photocatalysts were characterized by XRD and FESEM analyses. The photocatalytic results confirmed that the removal rate of methyl orange, eosin y, and methylene blue over Cu-spinel/reduced graphene oxide nanocomposite in ۱۲۰ min of simulated solar-light luminance was ۹۵.۳, ۸۳.۶, and ۷۱.۷%, respectively. This outstanding performance of Cu-spinel/reduced graphene oxide shows that using reduced graphene oxide in the composite structure of Cu-spinel can reduce the recombination rate of induced-charge-carriers in Cu-spinel and increase different dyes’ adsorption capacity.
