خلاصه مقاله:
The activated carbon was used for the removal of t he disperse dye, Red S -DSW, from aqueous solutions. The dye adsorption experiments were carried out by using ba th procedure. Experimental results have shown that in acidic pH favored the adsorption. The dye adsorptio n equilibri um was attained after ۴ hours of contact time. The factors controlling the adsorptio n process were also c alculated and discussed. And a maximum ads orption capa city of ۵۹.۸ ۲ mg/g of Red S-DSW was achieved. Equilibrium data we re mathematically modeled using t he Langmuir, Freundlich Temkin and Dubinin-Radushkevich adsorpti on models t o describe t he equilibri um isother ms at ۴.۶۴ solution p H value and ۲۵°C te mperature, and isotherm constants were dete rmined. The Dubinin-Radushkevic h isotherm was found to best fit t he experime ntal data o ver the whole concentr ation range as indicating from the values of t he correlati on coefficie nts (r۲ = ۰.۹ ۹۹۲).
