Abstract:

Extensive use of oil and gas derivatives in most large industries, such as refineries and petrochemicals, has increased the risks of oil and gas pollution in water resources. Due to the increase in industrial activities, the wastewater produced worldwide has increased and now the treatment of oily wastewater for its reuse is environmentally important. Treatment of wastewater produced by various methods including physical (membrane filtration, adsorption, etc.), chemical (coagulation, oxidation, flocculation, etc.), biological (activated sludge, biological aeration filters, etc.) and also methods Membrane separation can be used. Membrane separation method which is a new and environmentally friendly method and can be used as an efficient method for the treatment of oily wastewater. In this paper, the existing methods for the treatment of oil wastewater based on membrane technology are reviewed and the parameters affecting it are reviewed.
