Abstract:

The Son River of Sidhi region, Madhya Pradesh (MP), Central India, assumes a significant part in fostering a financial and conventional association with the individuals of area since it helps gives adequate rich fields and development slants, water system exercises and satisfy the day by day needs of people. It is vital for individuals of region Sidhi and the province of Madhya Pradesh due to the rich natural resource. This investigation decided the Water Quality Index (WQI) of the son River from four sample stations. Most extreme WQI esteems acquired during the post-rainstorm season in every one of the stations followed by storm and pre-rainstorm. Inspecting stations found upstream of the waterway experience poor WQI because of hydroelectric dams, evolving land-use works on, expanding settlements, and deforestation in the catchment and stream banks. The generally speaking WQI esteems showed helpless water quality, which isn't reasonable for an individual's utilization. From the examination, it was discovered that pH, DO, and BOD assumed a significant part in influencing the WQI of the waterway. The state of water quality in our current investigation needs the need to embrace appropriate administration strategy and protection endeavors. It is concluded that WQI can be adequately utilized as an instrument in contrasting the water nature of various sources. It gives the public an overall thought of potential water-related issues in a specific region. Water quality patterns are precisely calculated by these indices, whichare exceptionally valuable to general society or the policymakers and water quality administration to assemble pertinent data.
