Abstract:
Management of debris flows is important and vital in almost all aspects. Large volumes of sediments cause destruction and damage in environment, agriculture, tourism and housing. In addition, one of the important sources of unconventional water is the amount, which is in debris streams, but the presence of fine and coarse particles in such stream, prevents the proper and efficient use of it. For this reason, it is necessary to provide solutions to this problem. In this study, which is the first of its kind in Iran, among the various common structures in the world, the most optimal one has been presented and proposed for local basins. In choosing the appropriate solution, it should be noted that the biggest problem in the debris flows is the presence of sediments of different sizes and ultimately their transfer to rivers and lakes. The authors' studies and reviews of common structures show that the best way to manage this flow is flexible ring networks.
