Abstract:
Background and Objective: Breast cancer is a malignant lesion caused by abnormal changes and growth in breast tissue epithelial cells, including glands, lobules, and larynx. Therefore, the current study's objective was to estimate the incidence of breast and cervical intraepithelial lesions in Iran. This study is based on results from a screening program implemented in the province of Isfahan, Iran.
Methods: Two stages of cancer screening were performed in the study on over ۲۵۰۰۰۰ women in ۲۰۱۸.
Results: As a result of this study, it was determined that in ۲۰۱۸, there was an incidence of ۴۲۲ benign breast tumors per ۱۰۰ ۰۰۰ women (۹۵% CI: ۳۹۳-۴۵۰). Also, the incidence of breast cancer was ۶۵ (۹۵% CI: ۵۴-۷۶) per ۱۰۰ ۰۰۰ women, and that of Cervical intraepithelial lesions was ۴۵ (۹۵% CI: ۲۷-۶۳) per ۱۰۰ ۰۰۰ women in ۲۰۱۸.
