The environment has been one of the main and most important concerns of human societies in the past few decades. The role of transportation and its position as one of the most important key infrastructures in the growth and development of any country is undeniable. Today, a country must have an efficient and extensive transportation system to access and connect its various sectors with other countries. The purpose of this article is to investigate the impact of transportation on the environment, which is discussed in the form of content analysis. Transportation systems can be used in any type of transportation (road, rail, air, water) and services. As a result, transportation systems help control traffic, safety, reduce transportation time and fuel consumption. In general, harm to the environment means harm to human beings themselves. To prevent the destruction of nature, it is enough to maintain the balance of the use of machinery.
