Abstract:

An accurate and appropriate algorithm for x-ray devices (such as: airport x-ray scanner, mammography, radiography, etc.) is presenting in this paper which helps to recognize type and thickness of different materials by gathered tables of mass attenuation coefficients of them and some molecules and, input and output intensity of x-ray from intended sample. This algorithm helps not only to recognize the intended samples but also to be extended to upgrade the quality and accuracy in recognition of materials (improve recognition of materials in airport x-ray scanners, e.g.). This algorithm could be extend to recognize more materials and use in other applications. Moreover, algorithm error is determined then, a proper range of intensity for all the systems can be presented by using these information. This range is more accurate due to the low possibilities of errors. In fact, this algorithm can be upgraded by an accurate understanding of physics concepts of these calculations and algorithm; also, other applications of it can be obtained, too. The applications can be an idea in -for example- business world (medical, or any other fields). For instance, by increasing the quality of it, blood components can be recognized more accurately and easily; therefore, these science and calculations are helpful to designing new systems.
