Abstract:
The present study investigated the effect of using the TCLTSP model on vocabulary retention of Iranian intermediate female learners. To attain the purpose of the study, ۸۰ intermediate female learners of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) (N =۸۰) were selected. The participants were assigned to experimental and control groups. During the treatment period, the control group underwent traditional based instruction while The experimental group were exposed to the TCLTSP model. The researcher used a vocabulary test and an interview to gather the required data. The results highlighted that the TCLTSP model had a significant effect on learners' vocabulary retention. The findings also revealed that the participants of the present study had positive attitudes toward using TCLTSP model.
