In the last decades of the twentieth century and the beginning of the twenty-first century,sustainability has been one of the topics in all areas, especially in the field of urban spaces and architecture. Social sustainability results from actions on key issues that include the social areas of individuals and communities to build capacity and develop skills to address environmental and spatial inequalities. In this definition, social sustainability is associated with principles such as justice and health, with emerging issues of participation, needs, social capital, the economy, the environment, and more recently with concepts such as happiness, well-being, and quality of life. Social sustainability is one of the three pillars of sustainable development. Although in recent years, attention to social sustainability as one of the main components of sustainable development has been reflected in development writings in developed countries, but still a clear and defined framework of its indicators in the country. Has not taken. Due to the lack of regular and systematic studies on this concept, this article tries to examine the current concept of social sustainability and provide indicators of social sustainability. By examining the different definitions of the criteria that determine social sustainability, they are divided into two parts: objective indicators and subjective indicators, each of which has sub-criteria.
