The past years have witnessed rapid changes in the development of new approaches for the design and the analysis of split-plot experiments, especially in the agricultural field. In some cases, it is difficult to gain exact observations due to circumstances beyond control. In those cases, the analysis of fuzzy observations is applied. In this study, a statistical manner analysis of split-plot design was proposed using the α-cut interval approach of the trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. It is a new approach that can create a flexible method to calculate sums of squares, which have complex mathematical expressions. Based on the numerical results, it was found that the proposed method is flexible and can be effectively performed.
