Abstract:
When the public health is threatened by bacteria, the synthesis or the discovery of new chemical compounds active against antibiotic resistant bacteria is an essential principle. We now report the synthesis of ۴-benzylidin-۲-methyloxazoline-۵-one which shows moderate activity against bacteria. This compound was evaluated for their antibacterial potential by agar-well diffusion assay against bacterial species of clinical significance
