The structure of compound has also been examined crystallographically. It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P ۲۱/c. The title compound has been synthesized from the reaction of ۴-ethyl-N-((pyridin-۲-yl) methylene) benzeneamine with ZnBr۲ metal salt. It has been characterized by using elemental analysis, MS, IR and UV-Visible spectroscopic techniques.
