Abstract:

Health literacy (HL) is the ability to receive, process, and interpret health information to make decisions regarding their care. According to studies, Inadequate HL has been linked to negative health outcomes, including a lack of health information, poor mental and physical health performance, poor management of chronic diseases such as cancer. The rate of breast cancer Increased, according to statistics. In the United States After lung cancer, it is the second greatest cause of cancer-related deaths. Despite significant progress in cancer research, breast cancer remains a critical public health problem concern and the top priority in scientific research. Patients with poor HL have a difficult time understanding material that contains unfamiliar terms or concepts. Moreover, HL is considered an important element in a woman's ability to engage in health promotion and prevention activities for herself and her children. Without a good understanding of information, health care will be difficult or impossible for a woman to make informed decisions that will lead to good health outcomes for herself and her family.Numerous articles have been published on HL and its application in cancer; however, in the area of breast cancer and benefiting from health literacy, a review of breast cancer-related HL might be helpful. We review some articles regarding that and draw conclusions at the end of the session.
