The scope of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in offshore industrial projects

Nowadays, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of projects, especially in the offshore field, is one of the essential studies for financers, environmentalists and other national and international organizations. EIA is an important procedure for ensuring that the likely effects of new development on the environment are fully understood and taken into account before the development is allowed to go ahead [l]. Because of sever environmental impacts of pollutions of offshore activities such as oil spill, water pollution, debris, thermal pollution, solid waste and air pollution; we have tried to explain EIA usage for offshore industries, in this study.
