Abstract:
Quantum teaching is an alternative method in teaching different skills. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of quantum teaching on EFL learners’ writing motivation.۱۴ EFL students of Pars Language Institute, who were between ۱۳ to ۱۹ years old, voluntarily participated in the study. First, Nelson Proficiency Test was administered to identify their English proficiency level. Then, the participants were assigned to experimental and control groups randomly. The students in the experimental group were taught writing skills based on quantum teaching method, while those in the control group received conventional teaching strategies. The results of Mann-Whitney U Test indicated that the mean score of the responses to the questionnaire in the experimental group was significantly higher than their counterparts in the control group. Therefore, it was concluded that quantum teaching is more effective than conventional teaching and teachers are recommended to use it to improve learners’ motivation.
