This study aimed at investigating the relationships among gender, personality, cultural intelligence, cross-cultural adjustment, home culture attachment and achievement of Iranian EFL learners. The participants of the study were ۳۰۰ Iranian EFL learners (۱۷۴ females and ۱۲۶ males). Four instruments were used to collect the data. The collected data were analyzed by AMOS software through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of SEM analysis confirmed the hypothesized model of relationships among the study variables. The final model of the network of associations among variables also revealed significant correlations among various sub-scales of the study. The results showed that there were meaningful relationships between gender and achievement, between home culture attachment and personality traits, between home culture attachment and cross-cultural adjustment, and between cultural intelligence and gender. Further, it was found that cultural intelligence, gender and personality traits are good estimators of students’ achievement. Further, cultural intelligence was found to be a good estimator of cross-cultural adjustment. The findings of this study have implications for language teachers.
