Abstract:

Background: Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death for women in the world and the second leading cause of cancer death. Objective: This study aimed to explain the pain management model based on rumination and positive and negative emotional regulation with the mediation of resilience in women with breast cancer.Method: This research was correlational (structural equation modeling). Participants in this study were women with breast cancer referred to all medical centers (hospitals and private and public clinics) in Tehran in ۲۰۱۹. The sample consisted of ۲۷۳ breast cancer patients who were randomly selected. To measure the variables of the study, rumination response questionnaires, positive and negative emotional regulation, resilience, and pain management, and to analyze the obtained data, Spearman correlation coefficient (using SPSS software) and path analysis (using LISREL statistical software) were used. Results: The results showed that the indirect effect of positive emotional regulation on activity increase was significant through resilience (p <۰.۰۱). But resilience has no significant mediating role in the relationship between positive regulation and catering. The indirect effect of negative emotional regulation on activity increase is significant through resilience (p <۰.۰۱). But resilience has no significant mediating role in the relationship between negative regulation and catering. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the pain management model based on rumination and positive and negative emotional regulation was fitted with the mediation of resilience in women with breast cancer.
