Pyomo as an alternative to GAMS for tackling optimization problems

This study compares several characteristics of GAMS, a well-known com- mercial product, to Pyomo, an open source Python library. In both environments, wetackle the same problem. Pyomo was utilized as an optimization library in this paper to handle a typical problem. The fundamental reason is the enormous diversity andproliferation of Python libraries. The reader is encouraged to utilize Pyomo since, unlike GAMS, it is free source and not commercial.
