Abstract:
Production logging is the standard method to evaluate producing and injecting wells, which is done by use of electrical, mechanical and radioactive tools. It is possible to investigate and define characteristics, conditions and problems of perforated intervals in completed wells or producing layers in openhole wells by production logging. Production logging usually conducted in order to diagnose occurred problems like production of unwanted water or gas in oil producing wells and take a decision to remove these problems. Defining the exact intervals of entering fluids and their flowrates from the formation into the wellbore has a great importance in production optimization. In this work, it is attempted to evaluate the perforated intervals conditions of one of Iranian oil producing wells by using an appropriate software and answering to this question that How much of what fluid comes from where?
