A 2-D Model-based traveltime tomography inversion has been applied. Monte Carlo analysis in different offsets is used to introduce numerous initial models as a first step in tomography. Initial models are assumed to constrain of four layers separated by distinct interfaces. The velocity distribution of each layer is homogeneous. Dependence of final model to the initially estimated model is investigated. Furthermore sensitivity of the accuracy of traveltime tomography to the maximum offset from one hand, and to the number of receivers from the other hand is investigated. Potential improvement of traveltime tomography by choosing optimum offset has been illustrated
