Evaluation of effective factors on comparative advantages of Iran wood industry

Production and exports of wood products according to the comparative advantage have a major impact on the GDP. In this study, panel data model, based on ۲ and ۴-digit ISIC codes, in wood industry of economy of Iran have been considered as the cross-sections. The results show that the wood industry in the period studied have no comparative advantage. The effects of human capital on the comparative advantage of the wood industry is positive, value added, as an agent of change in the production structure and comparative advantage, has a positive effect on revealed comparative advantage. The intensity of domestic and foreign demand and investment had a negative effect on comparative advantage
