Abstract:
The aim of this study was the ۳D evaluate of lower extremity kinematics during gait using motion capture system in the local anatomical coordinate system. ۱۲ males without any musculoskeletal injury participated in this study. Gait cycles identified as first toe off of reference leg to next toe off of same leg. Kinematics data recorded using ۱۰-camera Vicon motion capture system, ۲۱ retroreflective markers and ۷ marker clusters. The result showed in swing phase the most rotation occurred around frontal axis (-۷۹.۴۵±۳.۱۲) and the least rotation occurred around transverse axis (۱۸.۸۹±۳.۱۵). Also, the maximum and minimum rotation of right leg, occurred around frontal axis (-۶۳.۱۳±۳.۶۴) and transverse axis (-۶.۴۸±۳.۹۲), respectively. And for right thigh, the maximum and minimum rotation occurred around frontal axis (-۳۳.۵۲±۳.۹۵) and sagittal axis (۶.۴۱±۳.۲۱), respectively. The result of this study described ۳D movement of lower extremity segments around local coordinate system. These finding can help to kinesiology of lower extremity, the design and construction of artificial segments.
