Abstract:

Objective: The aim of this article is to investigate the spinal cord injury on the kinematic function of the lower limb orthosis. The lower limb orthoses help to stabilize and make walking possible for people with spinal cord injury. The effect of supportive orthoses on gait kinematics in healthy and sick individuals has been studied and compared in this article. Method: This study was performed on a healthy and sick subject while walking with traditional kafo orthosis compared to normal walking with repeated measures. Finding: The maximum and minimum points of the curve corresponding to the linear and angular velocities at the ankle joint were obtained on the sagittal plane xz. Conclusion: Compared with P.VALUE, significant linear velocities of the left and right legs of a sick person with traditional orthosis and a healthy person without orthoses were found in the x, y, z axis.
