Decrease ERP Implementation Failure Rate Using ITIL-ERP Mapping

The rapid environmental and technological changes led to increased demand of the ERP systems. ERP systems are designed to improve organizational performance and integrating all aspects of business operations. These kinds of Information Systems facilitate exchange, maintenance, and access to information in all parts of an enterprise. Implementation of ERP systems aims to improve the enterprise’s processes in order to gain competitive advantages on the market. So, implementing ERP systems is inevitable for any SME and large enterprise or any scale corporate. Regardless benefits of ERP implementation, Implementing ERP is difficult and involves significant risks, and studies shows that the implementation is not always successful and is one of the first problems addressed by the literature on the subject. In this paper we aim to map ITIL with ERP as a way to decrease failure rate of ERP Implementation.
