Abstract:

ZnO/G-C۳N۴/rGO were prepared with Simple and environmentally friendly method by using the aqueous leaf extract of Ocimum basilicum with potential adsorption MB. The synthesized ZnO/G-C۳N۴/rGO were characterized by Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) analysis, field emission-scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD). It was shown that the well-dispersed ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) were deposited on G-C۳N۴/rGO homogeneously. So far as ZnO NPs with different diameters were synthesized in the varied samples, the ZnO NPs with an average diameter of around ۲۰ nm. A relatively low amount of rGO–ZnO composites (۵ mg) demonstrated enhanced photocatalytic activity to decompose methylene blue (MB, ۱۰ mg L−۱) under low-power ultraviolet light. In addition, the ultraviolet light-induced photocatalytic mechanism. Both rGO and crystallinity played important roles in improving photocatalytic activity.
