خلاصه مقاله:
Semi-conductor Quantum dots (QDs) are a unique class of inorganic fluorophore. As a result of their exceptional photophysical properties, they are gathering widespread attention. In this work presented here, cdse/zns core/shell tunable quantum dots were synthesize in two stage by solvothermal method . Their application in biological fluids or aqueous environment requires modulation of chemical nature of quantum dot surfaces. As a result, their solubility is changed and additional chemical functionalities are added. To develop water-soluble, biocompatible QD micelles, the core-shell CdSe/ZnS of red emission were synthesized and capped in poly ethylene glycol (PEG).The resulting QDs-polymer nanocomposite particles are suitable for applications in biomedical imaging and detection, as a consequence of their colloidally stability in water suspensions and exhibition of good photostability. The core/shell structure was proved by approach characterizations such as transmission electron microscopy(TEM), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), UV- Spectrometry and photo luminescence spectroscopy
