Abstract:

Background and Aim: Climate change is defined as changes in climate patterns, mainly due to greenhouse gas emissions from natural systems and human activities. The world is currently in a state of climate emergency, so it is important to find strategies to mitigate the effects of climate change. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the strategy to reduce the effects of climate change.Materials and Methods: This research is a review study in ۲۰۲۲ that has been done using articles in SID, Magiran, Google Scholar and PubMed databases. Keywords (Climate change mitigation, Negative emissions technologies, Carbon dioxide removal, Decarbonization technologies, Radiative forcing geoengineering technologies, Reivew) were used to search the databases. After extraction and screening of articles by the research team, finally ۱۲ articles were included in the study for final analysis. Results: According to the results of studies, the three main strategies to deal with climate change are conventional mitigation technologies, negative emission technologies and land engineering technologies. Conclusion: Given the current climate change emergency, the immediate development of mitigation mechanisms and appropriate adaptation to climate change is of paramountimportance. Based on the results of the studies, it is recommended that further studies be considered and studied in the field of technologies to be used, although it may be a long process. Of course, it should be noted that there is no final solution to climate change, and all technologies and techniques, if technically and economically viable, must be employed.
