Abstract:
High cholesterol is one of the most common diseases in the world today, affecting most people, and is one of the leading causes of death associatedwith cardiovascular disease. Elevated plasma cholesterol, such astriglycerides, increases the risk of cardiovascular complications so thatwhen lipoprotein-specific receptors are not present enough or do not workproperly, the concentration of lipoproteins increases. Low density andincreased cholesterol in plasma, causes congestion in intracellular cells andarteries and increase the risk of atherosclerosis. In addition toenvironmental factors, genetic factors also play a role in causing diseases.Single nucleotide polymorphisms technology (SNP) can be used to identifypathogenic genes in humans and to understand interpersonal changes indrug response. These research areas have major medical advantages. Result:Some polymorphisms have interactions with cholesterol.
