خلاصه مقاله:
In this paper the fiber deposition in laminar flow of a circular 90º bend is investigated numerically. Three different Reynolds numbers of 100, 500 and 1000 are considered for the air flow in the bend. Fibers in the shape of ellipsoidal particle are injected to the domain to study the deposition fraction. Both flow field and spherical particle deposition results are validated by the previous data. The results of this work show that by using an appropriate definition of Stokes number, deposition of fibers having different radius and length may be stated in a single graph. In addition, byincreasing in Stokes and Reynolds number, the fiber deposition fraction increases. The effect of inlet particle distribution is also presented and discussed
