nanospinel ZnCo۲O۴ was showed the excellent adsorption efficiency towards reactive black ۵ (RB۵)in aqueous solution. The investigation of removal kinetics of RB۵ obeys the rate of second-order kineticequation. The Langmuir adsorption isotherm fitted the data better than the Freundlich. The photocatalyticdegradation of RB۵ under UV irradiation at pH = ۱ has been also examined
