In-situ synthesis of BiFeo۳-Fe۲O۳ for visible-light driven photocatalyticpharmaceutical wastewater treatment

Photocatalytic degradation of carbamazepine (CBZ) was investigated by BiFeO۳-Fe۲O۳ compositesynthsized via in-situ sol-gel method. The best visible-light driven photocatalytic activity was found to be ۵۱%by the sample containing ۲۰ mol.% Fe۲O۳. The CBZ degradation followed a pseudo first-order kinetic modelwith rate constant of ۰.۰۰۸۵ min-۱
