Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to Analysis the performance of the hierarchical control system for hybrid microgrid in the event of severe disturbance. Microgrid is A group of interconnected loads and distributed energy resources within clearly defined electrical boundaries that acts as a single controllable entity with respect to the grid. A microgrid can connect or disconnect from the grid to enable it to operate in both grid-connected and island-mode. The occurrence of severe events such as short circuits or changes in operating mode between the connection and the island poses serious challenges to microgrid stability. In order to overcome these challenges, a comprehensive control strategy is needed that with local measurements and moment-by-moment monitoring of the microgrid can maintain a balance between production and consumption at any time with timely and appropriate response. The DGs control system must be designed to ensure microgrid stability in all operating conditions. According to the results, the proposed control structure withstands large perturbations of state change from island connection and follows load changes well. In the event of an error, the DG ensures that it continues to operate. After clearing the error, it returns the frequency and voltage of the microgrid to the nominal values and provides the continuation of the microgrid activity.
