Abstract:
The present study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of Stress inoculation training on reducing academic procrastination in students. The research method was quasi-experimental with pre-test and post-test design with control group. The statistical population of the study included all female high school students in the second year of Ardebil in the academic year ۲۰۲۰-۲۰۲۱ who were selected by available sampling method after screening ۳۰ people in two experimental groups (۱۵ people) and control (۱۵ people) as They were randomly assigned. The academic procrastination questionnaire (Solomon and Roth Bloom, ۱۹۸۴) was used to collect data in the pre-test and post-test. Data analysis was performed by univariate analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) test for this purpose, SPSS software version ۲۱ was used. The results showed that providing a program of Stress inoculation training against stress has a significant effect on students' academic procrastination. So that this educational program has reduced the academic procrastination of students in the experimental group in the post-test (p<۰.۰۱). As a result, it can be stated that the Stress inoculation training program against stress can be considered a good approach to reduce academic procrastination in students.
