Abstract:
The aim of this study was to determine the role of attachment styles in predicting the symptoms ofgeneralized anxiety disorder in women with obsessive-compulsive disorder. The method of the presentstudy was descriptive-correlational. In this study, ۵۰ women with obsessive-compulsive disorder referredto counseling centers and welfare-related medical services in district ۱۰ of Tehran were selected throughpurposive sampling. The Pennsylvania State of Mayer et al.'s (۱۹۹۰) Concern Questionnaire and therevised Collins and Reed (۱۹۹۰) Attachment Scale were used to collect data, and the stepwisemultivariate correlation and regression test was used to analyze the data. The results showed that there isa relationship between attachment styles and symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder. The results alsoshowed that safe, ambivalent and avoidant attachment style ۰.۴۴ symptoms of generalized anxietydisorder in women with obsessive-compulsive disorder. They see. The results indicate that safeattachment style with beta of ۰.۳۰, ambivalent with beta of ۰.۳۰ and avoidance with beta of ۰.۲۲ is ableto predict the symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder.
