خلاصه مقاله:
In this research, free vibration analysis of circular sandwich plate with electro-rheological core and carbon nano tubes reinforced face sheets is investigated. Due to electrical properties of core, it is affected by applying external electric fields. The material properties of ER core are determined by Don model. Also, extended mixture rule (EMR) approach is used to obtain the material properties of nanocomposite face sheets. The governing equations of motion are extracted using Hamilton's principle and first-order shear deformation theory. Then, natural frequency of ER sandwich plate is determined by differential quadrature method (DQM) for different boundary conditions. The effects of core to face sheets thickness ratios, volume fractions of CNTs and external voltage coefficients on natural frequency are investigated. The results illustrate that increasing core-to-face sheet thickness ratio leads to a decrease in the natural frequencies because the ER fluid core is softer than nanocomposite face sheets. Also increasing the volume fraction of CNTs in face sheets leads to increase the stability of ER sandwich plate. The obtained results can be employed to design and build machines and smart structures with controllable stiffness.
