خلاصه مقاله:
Regarding the fact that food security and agricultural efficiency are two important factors to the future of instantly increasing global population, and the four-generation of agriculture is upgrading to the five-generation smart agriculture, and this evolution significantly needs none-intervention human management, likewise, it is essential to equip the agricultural industry with the highly precise sensors and actuators, however, the IoT could help to reach this goal and decision support systems are platforms for real-time decision making and data analyzing. Though, there is not enough information on how the DSS platform can analyze the big data collected by IoT, especially in real-time agricultural operations. In this review, the big data analysis and decision-making by the DSS platform were investigated, and the results showed that there is an issue in data analysis performance speed and accuracy, which wouldn’t be able to respond to the real-time decision-making in agricultural sectors. It is also pointed out that no integrated data processing system for all agricultural activities (from the farm to the market) has been designed to manage the related data analyses and provide management instructions to the farmers for better decision-making for increasing agriculture efficiency.
