Abstract:

In this research, it was shown how an instructional method that uses semantic elaboration,structural elaboration, and semantic/structural elaboration affects words learning procedure. Itwas assumed that semantic elaboration as compared to structural elaboration can rise thequantity of foreign language lexical learning that takes placeData examination showed thatsemantic elaboration situation as compared to semantic/structural elaboration situation assistedperformance on remembrance of new vocabularies, but had a negative influence in comparisonwith structural elaboration situation.
