خلاصه مقاله:
This paper describes the results of performance shell and tube heat exchanger with two type of tube bundle with segmental baffles and helical baffles. This revamping was conducted at Butene-۱ unit in Tabriz Petrochemical Company. This study was conducted in three stages. First, tube bundle replacement in service unit and then rate of shell side fouling has been investigated. Second, comparisons of shell-side flow behavior in both cases are going to be presented by CFD means. Finally, computational Code has been provided to calculate on heat transfer and pressure drop for both segmental and helical shell and tube heat exchangers. This computational Code is validated with EXPRESSsoftware results for this case. The results show that the performance of tube bundle with helical baffle is better than segmental baffles type.
