Abstract:

Willingness to communicate increases learners' communicative ability by reducing reliance upon teachers andclassmates. The present study is focused on how Iranian EFL learners evaluate their WTC while using the language insideand outside EFL classes. The participants where ۶۵ female students in intermediate level. The WTC questionnaire was usedfor collecting data. The t-test showed that there is no significant difference between the scores of the inside and outside classWTC with t = ۲.۵۴, p = .۰۰۷ (p < .۰۵). The findings, indicate that the learners' WTC level was higher for speaking andlistening comprehension in the EFL class than out of class. However, out of class the learners tend to communicate morewillingly in reading.
