Abstract:

Coronavirus disease ۲۰۱۹ (COVID-۱۹) emerged in Wuhan(China) in December ۲۰۱۹ and rapidly spread to morethan ۲۰۰ countries around the world. Although severalmonths have passed since the discovery of the vaccine andthe onset of vaccination, the world is still involved withvarious effects and consequences of this disease in social,medical, educational, economic, and political domains. Insuch conditions, lifestyle modification is inevitable. Thismodification includes making changes in sleeping patterns,physical activity, smoking, alcohol use, feelings, emotions,social relationships, behaviors, attitudes, customs, eatinghabits, and even domestic violence.Sleeping disorder is one of the most commonconsequences of the pandemic that has an essential rolein regulating emotions and can have direct impact onpeople’s emotional functioning (۱). According to studies,the amount and quality of sleep have been affected by theepidemic (۲). Changes in sleep and wakefulness at nightcan increase the risk of chronic diseases and exacerbatemental health problems as well (۳). Diet also affects one’squality of sleep. People who sleep well are more likely toeat a Mediterranean diet and have a lower body mass index(۴). Exercise improves sleep at any age as well (۱).
