Abstract:
In this study, the researcher attempts to identify one of the most important and effective parameters in the method and measurement of the weight of vehicles in the WIM (Weigh In Motion) system which is related to the estimation of pavement displacement and has the capability of two applications: ۱ - Controlled Pavement Experiments ۲- Establish an intelligent pavement surveillance system that pursues a promising goal. Thus, by presenting three different algorithms and comparing their practical and laboratory results with reference sources, pavement displacement for each passing vehicle is measured and combined with measured weight information to evaluate pavement status on a regular basis. . These algorithms are: ۱- Dual integral algorithm ۲- Finite least squares estimation algorithm ۳- Pattern based algorithm This algorithm is derived from the pavement-vehicle interaction model. The systems and algorithms presented here have many applications in pavement engineering and open new avenues for research. This provides a much cheaper method for evaluating current pavement conditions than using a conventional FWD (Falling Weight Deflectometer) test.
